Advances in Generalized Parton Distribution Study
The basic properties of generalized parton distributions (GPDs) and some recent applications of GPDs are discussed. Talk given at the Workshop “Continuous Advances in QCD 2004”, Minneapolis, May 13-16, 2004 Also at Laboratory of Theoretical Physics,JINR, Dubna, Russia
متن کاملLow Q 2 wave - functions of pions and kaons and their parton distribution functions
We study the low Q 2 wave-functions of pions and kaons as an expansion in terms of hadron-like Fock state fluctuations. In this formalism, pion and kaon wave-functions are related one another. Consequently, the knowledge of the pion structure allows the determination of parton distributions in kaons. In addition, we show that the intrinsic (low Q 2) sea of pions and kaons are different due to t...

Introduction to Parton Distribution Functions
We provide an assessment of the impact of parton distributions on the determination of LHC processes, and of the accuracy with which parton distribution functions (PDFs) can be extracted from data, in particular from current and forthcoming HERA experiments. We give an overview of reference LHC processes and their associated PDF uncertainties, and study in detail W and Z production at the LHC. ...
متن کاملModeling Timed Concurrent Systems using Generalized Ultrametrics
Timed concurrent systems are used in concurrent and distributed real-time software, modeling of hybrid systems, design of hardware systems (using hardware description languages), discrete-event simulation, and modeling of communication networks. They consist of concurrent components that communicate using timed signals, which are sets of (semantically) time-stamped events. The denotational sema...
